Hi everybody, it’s been a while since we did a blog post so we wanted to give you a little update about us and how The Bespoke Foil Company is growing.
As some of you will already know, after being made redundant from my job in May 2020, I began working full time on The Bespoke Foil Company and with more time to dedicate to the business, it has grown so much in this short space of time. So much so, that my fiancé Ryan has now also recently left his previous role as a Senior Designer and is now also working full time for The Bespoke Foil Company.
We have lots of plans in the pipeline to scale up our business in 2021. Some of which we will only be able to properly look into in a post-Covid world, but this week we have invested in brand new foiling machinery which will allow us to print bigger (something we know a lot of you have asked for in the past) and also different card stock and potentially other materials... as you can imagine, before we launch these new products, we will be doing lots of testing to make sure everything is perfect and streamlined before the big launch. This will likely be August time so watch this space for exciting things to come!
Another thing a lot of our customers have requested over the last few years is framed prints. We’re very happy to say that in February 2021 we launched framed options on our website and Etsy shop and they are doing better than we could have ever imagined. Some of the products are yet to have a framed option on our website and we are working through adding to each product in order of popularity. We have over 150 products on the site so as you can imagine this is quite a lengthy task so please bear with us.
The beauty of our framed options is that we are saving you the time and effort of sourcing the correct size and colour frame. We found a lot of our customers were sending our prints directly to recipients as gifts, so having the option for it to arrive framed really enhances the gifting experience as it can go straight to them ready to display complete with a gift note handwritten by me from yourself. This is also quite handy for people shielding or having to social distance.
A little update on our most popular product, our Foil Hand and Footprint Kits! We found that these were being purchased as gifts just as much as our customers buying them for themselves so we have created a Foil Hand & Footprint Kit "Gifting Edition" which is ideal for those sending the kit directly to their recipient, or to have something more to show when giving them as a newborn gift or baby shower present.
When purchasing this extra, the kit will come in a beautifully presented folder with full instructions and a photo example of how the end product will look. As well as this, there is a a place inside the folder to store the original hand and footprints with a card to add the baby's name and the date the prints were taken as a keepsake. We are looking to launch this by the end of this week and we are in the process of taking new product photos and a video talking through the new version of the Foil Hand and Footprint kit.
On a more of a personal note, myself and Ryan are expecting a baby ourselves, due in May 2021!! We are sooo excited with this amazing news and after such a sad 2020 due to various reasons. It’s totally brightened up the year for us after our long-awaited wedding in 2020 was unfortunately cancelled and is now postponed until things are ‘back to normal’. Baby Eccleston we can’t wait to meet you!
