How it works
How a memorial handprint is taken and made
Nobody should have to manage an order while they’re grieving. You make a few choices with your funeral director, and everything else is done for you.

Choose together
With your funeral director, choose a package from our brochure, the words you’d like on it and how you’d like to receive it. It all goes on one short order form.

The print is taken
Your funeral director takes a print of your loved one’s hand, and their thumbprint, with our kit. It has to be done while they’re in the funeral director’s care, so it’s worth asking early.

Your Memory Catcher™ takes it from here
Your funeral director sends photos of the prints and the order form to your local Memory Catcher™, who places the order with our studio and is your point of contact from start to finish.

Smudges tidied, with a proof
Our studio tidies up any smudges, keeping every line and crease, and adds your words. You’ll see a proof before anything is made, unless you’d rather we went straight ahead.

Made in real foil and framed
We reproduce the print exactly life size in real metallic foil, using our Foil Fusion Technology™, then frame it and make the keyrings.

Back with you
Your keepsake goes to the funeral home for you to collect, or to your home if you’d prefer. The original prints never leave your funeral director, who keeps them safe and gives them to you.

Every print is checked and any smudges are tidied up, but it’s never resized and never redrawn. It’s their hand, exactly as it was, with the lines and creases that made it theirs.
We press it in real metallic foil, not ink, so it catches the light and lasts. Then we frame it here, ready to display.

A handprint keepsake of a loved one is something you can touch: the shape of their hand, the lines of their palm and the whorl of their thumbprint, kept in foil.
Keyrings
A smaller keepsake to carry every day, made from their handprint or their thumbprint, whichever you choose. Lovely for each of their children or grandchildren.
A digital copy
Every package includes a digital copy of the finished print, to keep and to share with family.
The original prints
The prints your funeral director takes are yours too. Only a photo of them comes to us, so the originals stay safe with your funeral director, who gives them to you.

Add more to any package: an extra framed print is £55 and an extra keyring is £18. You pay through your funeral director, as part of the funeral account, so there’s nothing to pay us separately.

If your funeral director already works with us, just ask them for a Bespoke Foil Company™ memorial keepsake. If they don’t yet, tell us who they are and your local Memory Catcher™ will contact them for you, so you don’t have to.
Please get in touch as soon as you can. The print has to be taken while your loved one is in the funeral director’s care.
For funeral directors
A keepsake service for the families you care for, with very little for your team to do
- Set up for you. Your local Memory Catcher™ brings kits, order forms, a display sample and brochures for families to take home, and talks your team through it.
- A print in minutes. Take the handprint and thumbprint with our kit, on A4 sheets made for adult hands, and keep the originals safe for the family.
- Send, and you’re done. Send a photo of the prints and the order form to your Memory Catcher™. She places the order, sends the family their proof and answers their questions.
- Simple money. Families pay you with the funeral account and you keep a share of every package. We invoice you for the rest, one invoice per family, on 30-day terms.
- Back to you, ready to give. The finished keepsake comes to you, framed, unless the family has asked for it to go to their home.

Yes. Your funeral director can take a print of your loved one’s hand, and their thumbprint, while they’re in their care, using our kit. It needs to be done before the funeral, so it’s best to ask as early as you can.
No, you order through your funeral director, so there’s nothing extra for you to arrange. If your funeral director doesn’t work with us yet, send us their details and your local Memory Catcher™ will contact them for you.

Usually, yes. Put the date you need it by on the order form, such as the day of the funeral, and we work to it. The sooner the print is taken, the more time we have.
Yes, if you’d like to. Our studio makes a proof and your Memory Catcher™ sends it to you, or to your funeral director if you’d prefer. Nothing is made until it’s approved. If you’d rather not look at a proof, you can choose for us to go straight ahead.
Our studio tidies up any smudges, and a thumbprint is taken as well, which can be used on the framed print instead if you allow it on the order form.
Yes. On the order form you choose whether the keyrings use their handprint or their thumbprint. A thumbprint suits a keyring well: it’s the fingerprint that was only ever theirs.
